Emily Bott 3/30/25  Hey, welcome back to tumbling with Emily. This week is a little different for  me. It was the same in that  we had a home meet, it was different because I had an injury that almost took me out. My MRI shows signs of stress so they put me in a boot and modified my lower body weight training. I’m happy to report it helped me to be able to get through the weekend and the home meet. I scored well and my team won !! It was a great meet against Saint Leo from Florida . The team was great as well as the athletes . We had a late practice today. We did a lot of talking to prepare us for this upcoming week and all the changes that are already made within the team. This is our last Home meet coming up next week against Oregon. They are  ranked number two and we are ranked number one. It’s always a fun time going against one of your biggest competitors. If anybody's around on Saturday, we’re trying to fill the ferrell center,  so I would love anyb...

Come with me during a home meet against Iona

Emily Bott  3/23/25 Hey guys, I’m back from spring break and two travel meets. We did well. Moving forward  I had a slight hiccup with a little ankle injury, but the show must go on, and that it will. This week I have a meet against Iona. I’m going to be sitting a couple heats out to give my ankle a rest , but I should be back at it by next week. I’m going to  start the day off right and have a team lunch again. It's one of the most exciting parts of the meets for me because I get to bond with my teammates and we get to go over things that went on during the week, not just what happens in our sport. The friendships I’ve made on the team will carry me through a lifetime. It’s not all just about acro and tumble. We are like sisters and it’s a great support system to have in college, especially being so far away like I am from my family in New York.. Today is also the day that we get to compete in our brand new uniform top. That’s exciting. It’s just a little different than ...

Emily Bott 3/9/25  Hello everyone! Welcome back to Flippin with Emily. It’s meet week again and this one’s away. This one is a little different because we have 2 away meets in one trip . I’m headed to Missouri to compete against Missouri State University, and  then we’re headed to Pittsburgh to go against Duquesne University. I have to say this was one of the most challenging meets to get ready for personally. I had three classes on Thursday then we had practice and then I had about an hour to get the rest of my stuff ready and be at the bus. Another challenging part about this meet is I hurt myself about two weeks ago when I’m trying to feel better and it’s very hard with so much running around to do, But I’m confident I’ll push through and everything will work out. I took a bus ride from Waco to Dallas International Airport. We hopped on the flight and by the time we landed and got to our hotel it was about 12:30 AM. Shortly after checking into my room I had to go and...

Come with me to our Home Meet, Baylor Vs. Azusa Pacific

Emily Bott 3/2/2025 Hey everyone! Welcome back to Flippin' with Emily. Following up after the Oregon meet we recently had, our week was pretty busy. In the weeks that we have meets  we’re already prepared for hard practices and extra work. It’s the same if it’s  an away meet or a home meet , the main difference for home  meets is that the entire roster gets to be a part of all that’s  involved .  Our  starting lineup is 24 and the entire team consists of 55. The travel team changes week after week and you’re never guaranteed a spot. That’s why when we travel we don’t check into our flight until sometime six hours before because you never know who will be traveling. So with it being a home meet, it was great to be with everybody. We start the day off with a team lunch. Everybody shows up wearing the exact same T-shirt and black pants and the lunch is at the banc on campus. The banc is amazing. They always prepare us the most delicious pre-meet meal and fuel ...
