Baylor A&T Team Now 10x National Champions!!!

Image
Emily Bott  4/27/25 Hey blog welcome back to tumbling with  Emily , this past week has definitely been a crazy one. We prepared all year for nationals in Sioux Falls South Dakota and it came and went so fast but I will keep the memories for a lifetime. We competed against 3 teams and came out on top all the rounds, it was very very exciting. The final event was us vs Oregon and wow the crowd was wild. The Oregon crowd does not like Baylor, we are the 10 time national champions and currently on a 50 meet win streak. I get excited when we hear the boos from the crowd. It makes me do better. Baylor fans are always supportive to all the athletes and families of athletes. The final day was the individual event finals. I’m so excited and proud to say I received the honor of being named  All-American from the ncata. The ncata is the governing body for our sport . So now that nationals is over, so is practice and that gives me a lot more time to study and start to pack to ...

Off to the National Championships...

Emily Bott  4/20/25 Hey blog,  just days away from leaving for South Dakota and we are in full swing . I will say it's been tough keeping up with all my classes, studies and just everyday life but it is all so worth it . As crazy as it sounds I do better with my schedule when I’m super busy. My body is getting tired but I know I’m conditioned to do  what I gotta do . Practices have been going great, the team is in such great spirits, even having practice on Easter Sunday ended up  being fun.  I received my packing list and like I said in the last blog it’s a challenge to be all packed in such a tiny suitcase but I’ll make it work. I’m excited because nattys have a whole different vibe. A lot of parents go and they bring the noise. They coordinate colors to wear and chants to yell while we compete . It sounds silly but it makes a difference when we hear everyone say it means so much to do good for ourselves but it’s also time to show everyone what we have ...

Prep With Me for the Acro & Tumbling National Championships!!!

Emily Bott  4/13/25 Hey blog, welcome back, the next two weeks are gonna be tough leading up to nationals. We’re traveling to Sioux Falls South Dakota for the NCATA college acrobatics and tumbling national championships. It’s both exciting and stressful going in as the number one seed. It’s exciting because our hard work shows in our winning record, but it’s also stressful because it’s very hard to stay on top when all the other teams are working just as hard as you to knock you down. so with the national championships, the entire team gets to travel not just the starting lineup which makes traveling a lot of fun. Practices from here until nationals are going to be extremely tough and if you don’t take care of your mind and body, you can’t be successful so this time of year I try to work ahead for my classes so that after practices and weight training I can concentrate on staying organized and getting a good night's sleep to start the day over and do it all again. Practices ...

Baylor beats Oregon A&T Team Again!

Image
Emily Bott Hey blog , I was right it was an exciting  meet weekend against number 2 Oregon . Oregon definitely put up  a fight, but in the end we took the win. We scored the most tens in any acro  meet ever. Woke up and felt confident it was a special weekend. My grandfather came to see our last regular season home meet and he hasn’t been to Baylor since I was recruited before junior year . I’m glad he came to this meet. I was feeling better and scored higher than I did in my last meet and our team was  amazing . Our coach gave us off for Sunday practice and Monday that’s never been heard of before . So now I have down time to work on my studies and rest my body before the crazy hard practices leading up to nationals . Another big milestone for my sport is that yesterday’s attendance was over 2000 and that is history making numbers of spectators come and watch us.: Baylor offered two dollar admissions to bring in a large crowd. We had the cheerleaders and the ...
