Baylor beats Oregon A&T Team Again!

Hey blog , I was right it was an exciting  meet weekend against number 2 Oregon . Oregon definitely put up  a fight, but in the end we took the win. We scored the most tens in any acro  meet ever. Woke up and felt confident it was a special weekend. My grandfather came to see our last regular season home meet and he hasn’t been to Baylor since I was recruited before junior year . I’m glad he came to this meet. I was feeling better and scored higher than I did in my last meet and our team was  amazing . Our coach gave us off for Sunday practice and Monday that’s never been heard of before . So now I have down time to work on my studies and rest my body before the crazy hard practices leading up to nationals . Another big milestone for my sport is that yesterday’s attendance was over 2000 and that is history making numbers of spectators come and watch us.: Baylor offered two dollar admissions to bring in a large crowd. We had the cheerleaders and the live band there to cheer us on. It was a great feeling competing in the feral center with all that support. They also had a glow party an hour before the meet for Marigold‘s birthday party. She’s one of the bar mascots for Baylor. All the fans love getting high-fives and hugs from her. The crowd had towels that they would wave in the air when we did good. The excitement was so loud and it was also senior day. We had 16 seniors to honor and they will leave a hole in our team. Everybody plays such an important part when you have a team as talented as this one. Our coaches do a great job recruiting so that we can move on and be successful after everyone graduates. stay tuned for the next few blogs. They’re going to be very exciting leading up to nationals in Sioux Falls South Dakota starting on April 24.

Pack with me for Baylor vs. Oregon A&T Meet

Emily Bott 2/21/25 Hey everyone! Welcome back to continue Flippin’ with Emily. This week was a big long week, as it was expected to be. Me and my teammates left to fly all the way to Oregon for a big competitive meet against their Acrobatics and Tumbling team. We have always had very exciting and competitive meets against Oregon, but we still won.  On our travel trips the coaches will provide us a list of important clothing and shoes we will need for our meet and for practices. They also supply us with matching Baylor suitcases to use for these trips, which aren’t the most spacious to include many extra belongings other than the important stuff. Other than the clothing, I will make sure I pack prepared for every occasion that may come which are the necessities like toiletries. My toiletries necessities are my toothbrush, toothpaste, hairspray, bar of soap, shampoo, conditioner, vitamin C gummies, hair brush, icy hot, advil, and lotion. Emily Bott 3/2/2025 Hey everyone! Welcome back to Flippin' with Emily. Following up after the Oregon meet we recently had, our week was pretty busy. In the weeks that we have meets  we’re already prepared for hard practices and extra work. It’s the same if it’s  an away meet or a home meet , the main difference for home  meets is that the entire roster gets to be a part of all that’s  involved .  Our  starting lineup is 24 and the entire team consists of 55. The travel team changes week after week and you’re never guaranteed a spot. That’s why when we travel we don’t check into our flight until sometime six hours before because you never know who will be traveling. So with it being a home meet, it was great to be with everybody. We start the day off with a team lunch. Everybody shows up wearing the exact same T-shirt and black pants and the lunch is at the banc on campus. The banc is amazing.
